Chicago Cell Repair Solves the Tricky iPhone 3G

Unlocking the iPhone 3G is no longer a secret to CPR technicians.
Consumer complaints about Apple’s iPhone 3G are diverse and unfortunately frequent. The way the iPhone downloads data over AT&T’s wireless network leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes, the iPhone switches from the faster 3G network to the slower, EDGE network without warning – as if embodying the notorious if now ancient Hal dreamed up by the late Arthur C. Clarke. The iPhone 3G can drop the data signal altogether if it has a mind to.
While performance may be an issue with the 3G under optimum conditions, it’s also not indestructible. These expensive “toys” can be dropped on concrete, accidentally submerged in unkind liquids (including water), partly fried by being placed on a radiator or other heat-emitting system like a stove, or bitten by an otherwise friendly pit bull. Like any iPod or iPod-like device, it may need to be opened for a host of reasons, i.e. replacing batteries, replacing an LCD screen that suddenly sports a hairline crack, or if problems with, say, a head phone jack, face plate, or click wheel may be in order – and going to the manufacturer (in this case, the home Apple) is not the most desirable option. Sometimes reception issues can be addressed once the case is efficiently opened.
Apple did alter the 3G’s baseband processor chip as a way to keep third party repair companies (such as CPR) from cracking the proverbial nut. But other methods have been found, to the eternal benefit of our customers and all owners of the iPhone 3G. We’ve learned to modify the SIM card, and we can do it without missing a chip, so to speak, or to put it more personally, your dedicated technicians at CPR can access the 3G’s most intricate circuitry so every potential secret is advantageously divulged. So now, owners of iPhone 3G devices have yet another attractive option.
